2.0. Dashboard & Company Settings

Image Description

The Dashboard is the home screen of the TalentUp Salary Benchmarking Platform. It serves as your control center — where you configure your company’s global settings and manage your team’s shared workspace. Every time you log in, the Dashboard gives you a quick overview of how your account is set up and lets you access your team’s benchmarks and members.

The TalentUp Dashboard: your starting point for configuring company-wide settings and managing your shared team workspace.

The Company Settings section (top of the Dashboard) contains four configuration cards that define how all salary benchmarks are filtered and displayed across the entire platform. These settings apply globally — any change here automatically affects all searches and analyses performed by all team members.

Click on any of the four cards to open the Company Settings modal, where you can configure each option. The modal has four tabs:

Company Settings modal showing the Fixed Filters tab with fields for Sector, Type, Number of Employees, and Funding, with active filter tags like Fintech, 2m-20m Funding, and Startup
Fixed Filters pre-configure benchmarks to match your company’s profile — ensuring every search is relevant to your sector and size.

Fixed Filters allow you to set persistent filter criteria that apply to all employee analyses and market salary searches. This ensures your benchmarks are always calibrated to companies that resemble yours. You can configure:

  • Sector — Your company’s industry (e.g., Fintech, SaaS, Healthcare)
  • Type — Company type (Startup, Scaleup, International, IT Consultancy, Research/SMB)
  • Number of employees — Your current headcount range
  • Funding (€) — The funding range that best describes your company stage
  • The active tags at the bottom of the card (e.g., “Fintech”, “2m-20m Funding”, “Startup”) show your current fixed filter selections at a glance from the Dashboard.

Company Settings modal showing the Job Grading tab with a dropdown to select the job grading framework and TalentUp (Seniority) currently selected
The Job Grading tab lets you choose which seniority framework to use when displaying salary levels.

The Job Grading setting determines which seniority level framework is used to display salary breakdowns. TalentUp supports multiple widely-used job grading frameworks, including:

  • TalentUp (Seniority) — The default framework using Junior, Mid, Senior, and Lead levels
  • Korn Ferry — Grade-based levels used by large enterprises
  • Mercer — IPE-based job evaluation framework
  • Radford — Widely used in tech and biotech
  • WTW (Willis Towers Watson) — Used by global enterprises for job architecture
  • Selecting your company’s existing grading framework ensures that salary benchmarks align with the levels you use internally, making it easy to map market data to your compensation structure.

Company Settings modal showing the Departments tab with department names and target percentile settings for Design/Media/Writing, Information Technology, and Marketing
Set up your company’s departments and assign a target salary percentile to each — for example, paying at the 50th percentile for all roles in a given department.

The Departments setting lets you define your company’s organizational structure and assign a target salary percentile for each department. This is critical for pay equity analysis and compensation planning. For each department you can:

  • Name the department (e.g., “Engineering”, “Marketing”, “Design, Media, and Writing”)
  • Set a target percentile (e.g., 50th percentile = you aim to pay at the market median for that department)
  • Track how many employees belong to each department
  • Use the Add button to create new departments, and the edit/delete icons to modify existing ones.

Company Settings modal showing the Salary Basis tab with a dropdown to select the salary expression format and Yearly currently selected
Choose whether salaries across the platform are shown on a yearly, monthly, or daily basis.

The Salary Basis setting controls how all salary figures are displayed throughout the platform. Choose between:

  • Yearly — Annual gross salary (most common for full-time roles)
  • Monthly — Monthly gross salary
  • Daily — Daily rate (common for freelancers and contractors)
  • TalentUp Shared Space

Below the Company Settings cards, the Talentup shared space section is your team collaboration hub. It has four tabs:

The Members tab shows all users who have access to your TalentUp account. For each member you can see their name, position, department, location, and role (Admin or Member). Use the Add Team Member button to invite new colleagues, and the Edit button to modify any member’s details or role.

  • Admin — Can manage company settings, invite members, and access all features
  • Member — Can use all search and analysis features, but cannot change company settings or manage other users
  • The Unlocked Benchmarks tab shows all salary benchmarks that have been unlocked by any team member. Once a benchmark is unlocked, the entire team can access it from their search history at no additional cost. This prevents duplicate credit usage when multiple team members need the same benchmark.

The Saved Benchmarks tab shows benchmarks that have been explicitly saved (bookmarked) by team members for future reference. Use this to build a curated library of the most important benchmarks for your organization.

The Downloads tab tracks all export requests and file downloads made by your team. When you export data (e.g., an employee list or benchmark report), it will appear here once the file is ready. You’ll receive a notification at the top right of the screen when your download is ready.

    Top Navigation

The top navigation bar is accessible from every page of the platform. It contains four main sections:

  • Internal Pay Analysis — Benchmark your team’s salaries against the market
  • Market Salary Search — Look up the market salary for any role in any location
  • Company Finder — Research salary data for specific companies
  • Compare Salaries — Run side-by-side salary comparisons across roles and locations
  • Clicking the TalentUp logo in the top left always returns you to the Dashboard.
