Responsibilities: • Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. • Implement and maintain safety procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. • Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and maintaining necessary supplies and equipment. • Train and supervise laboratory staff, providing guidance and feedback as necessary. • Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations and improve the quality of laboratory results. • Ensure the laboratory adheres to all relevant regulations and standards, including quality control and assurance. • Manage and maintain the laboratory budget, including forecasting and tracking expenditures. • Coordinate with research teams to facilitate and support ongoing projects. • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results. • Implement and manage laboratory information systems. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field such as Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. • Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a supervisory role. • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures. • Strong organizational and management skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Knowledge of laboratory operations and equipment. • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
