• Collaborate with the President to develop and manage transportation and distribution expenses to overall budget/plan
• Provide direction and leadership in the continuing development, improvements and planning review and analysis of existing operations
• Develop an ongoing understanding of transportation best practices and insights to continually identify future value-added solutions
• Understand industry trends and competitor activity and apply them in logistics plan development
• Motivate, manage and maintain the relationships with vendors
• Assist in negotiating contracts, managing contract, renewals and reviewing contracts with transportation providers
• Drive and deliver best in class service and costs through a world class vendor management program by driving productivity, managing suppliers effectively, and ensuring efficiencies
• Lead program management of outsourced logistics and distribution model including smooth transition of operations across vendors

• Related logistics and supply chain experience required
• Managerial or supervisory experience required
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint required
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
