Mandatory benefits in Russia
Employees are entitled to 28 calendar days (20 working days) of paid leave per year. One period of leave should be no less than 14 days.
Maternity allowance is a one-time payment for 140 days, not exceeding 340,795 RUB. Calculated based on earnings of the two previous years.
Termination of employment agreements involves specific formalities for various dismissal grounds. Severance pay is equal to the average monthly wage for liquidation or redundancy.
Overtime compensation is compulsory if work time exceeds standard hours. Paid at 150% of the regular hourly rate for first two hours, then 200%. Maximum 4 hours in two days, 120 hours per year.
Russia observes several public holidays, representing at least 14 days a year.
The minimum monthly salary established at the federal level is 16,242 RUB per month, but can differ by federal district.
Salary shall be paid at least every half month. Companies are required to pay salary twice a month, no later than 15 calendar days after the last day of the payroll period.
Employees need a Russian work permit and a visa. Skilled professionals with a salary over 1 million RUB can apply for a faster work permit.
Employee payroll contributions include 0.0% total employee cost.
Employee income tax is 13% on annual income up to 5 million rubles and 15% on income exceeding 5 million rubles.
