Mandatory benefits in Armenia
Employers must provide employees three days of unpaid leave in the event of their marriage.
Employers must provide employees with three days of unpaid leave to attend the funeral of a family member.
Employee Payroll Contributions: 5.00% for income less than 500,000 AMD, 10.00% for income higher than 500,000 AMD (applied up to 1,125,000 AMD). Total Employee Cost: 5.00%-10.00%.
Minimum paid annual leave is 20 days for a five-day working week and 24 days for a six-day working week. In stressful or high-risk conditions, it increases to 35 and 42 days respectively.
Public holidays include New Year’s Day, Orthodox Christian Day, Army Day, and others, totaling 13 days a year.
Within the first month of the child’s birth, it is possible to request up to 5 days of paid parental leave.
Severance pay varies by reason for termination and length of service, ranging from 10x to 44x average daily salary.
Employee Income Tax: Flat Rate of 20%.
Standard working hours are 40 hours per week. Overtime is calculated at 150% of the standard hourly rate. Night work is calculated at 130%. Maximum working time including overtime is 48 hours per week.
The National Monthly Minimum Wage is 75,000 AMD in Armenia and the minimum hourly wage is 500 AMD.
