Responsibilities: • Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products. • Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products. • Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. • Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges). • Perform database tuning and performance monitoring. • Perform application tuning and performance monitoring. • Setup and maintain documentation and standards. • Plan growth and changes (capacity planning). • Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required. • Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams.\n11. Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Understanding of Oracle's DBMS. • Understanding of SQL and PL/SQL. • Knowledge of physical database design. • Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. • Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios. • Good understanding of the Oracle data dictionary, Oracle utilities, and data integrity. • Experience in code migration, database change management, and data management. • Good communication skills with the ability to give oral and written reports. Preferred Skills: • Previous experience as a DBA. • Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). • Experience with Oracle's web-based technologies. • Experience with server hardware, software, and storage technologies. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Strong understanding of the business processes being supported by the system.,
