The base salary for a Library Aide in Sydney is 83,700 $

Responsibilities: • Assist librarians in organizing and managing library resources. • Help library patrons with basic inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources. • Maintain the library's collections by shelving books, periodicals, and other materials. • Process new materials including books, audiovisual materials, and computer software. • Assist in the check-in, check-out, and renewal of library materials. • Perform routine clerical tasks such as answering phones, sorting mail, and filing. • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming library environment. • Assist with library programs and events as needed. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Basic knowledge of library operations and procedures. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work well with the public, especially students and teachers. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to lift and carry library materials and push/pull loaded book carts. • Ability to use basic office equipment, such as a computer, photocopier, and scanner. Preferred Skills: • Previous experience in a library setting. • Knowledge of library classification systems and cataloging practices. • Strong customer service skills. • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. • Proficiency in using library databases and other online resources. • Familiarity with basic computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to work well in a team environment.,
