Manages the Human Resources functions and generalist duties including hourly recruiting, hiring, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and training and development ensuring all services are provided on time and cost-effective.
Manages programs, policies and procedures ensuring fair application and practices as well as legal compliance.
Trains in the areas of HR, providing medical, security and safety services in accordance with company guidelines.
Provides leadership and management of the work environment via the use of the PBIP (Positive Behavior Intervention Plan) and QIP (Quality Improvement Plan).
Keeps the facility appropriately staffed with competent hourly and salaried associates through acceptable employment practices.
Effectively handles the resolution of conflicts in the workplace, utilizes methods to improve absenteeism, turnover and plant efficiencies.
Takes a leadership role in creating the environment which fosters change and is a leader in change management.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule with extended hours as needed.
Requirements / skills:
Previous experience in working in a manufacturing environment; proven experience in problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orientation of new associates.
Must be able to multi-task and organize multiple projects.
Requires strong analytical skills, analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
Must have knowledge of and ability to provide strong customer orientation along with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and a commitment to excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Requires knowledge of a commitment to team performance, effective coaching and demonstrated skills or a strong team player.
Must be comfortable with Key Performance Indicators and the use of metrics to evaluate success with reaching targets.
Requires travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.
