Responsibilities: • Conducting clinical examinations and tests to assess patients with eye movement disorders or abnormalities. • Providing non-surgical management and treatment of eye movement disorders, including the prescription of corrective lenses. • Collaborating with ophthalmologists and other medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress reports. • Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle adjustments. • Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in orthoptics and related fields. • Participating in research projects and presenting findings at professional conferences. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Orthoptics, Optometry, or a related field. • State licensure to practice as an orthoptist. • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately diagnose and treat eye movement disorders. • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills. Preferred Skills: • Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthoptics. • Knowledge of current best practices and guidelines in orthoptics. • Ability to work well in a team, collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for patient education and collaboration with other professionals. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patients and tasks simultaneously. • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.,
