Related tasks:

• Direct the administration of comprehensive and complex human resource programs, services, and functions which include: employee relations, labor relations, compensation, classification, training development and delivery, risk, safety, recruitment, employee benefits, automated personnel/payroll system, wellness, and employee recognition.
• Oversee the development and strategy of labor negotiations and labor-management relations.
• Oversee the staffing, budget development, and management assistance for Civil Service and the Board of Equalization.
• Develop and administer personnel policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
• Effectively respond or direct the resolution of confidential and highly sensitive human resource related issues, complaints, or emergencies.
• Develop and manage the Department's budget; including the management and administration of contracts and grants.

• Proven leadership experience in a senior management position of a complex multi-faceted Human Resource organization. (Local government experience preferred.)
• Significant supervisory responsibilities
• Experience in labor relations to include negotiations and/or mediations
