Provide timely, practical and business-oriented legal advice on a range of employment issues, including: hiring, performance management, employee relations, personnel policies, leaves of absence and accommodations, discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, internal investigations, discipline and termination, compensation, and benefits.
Investigate and respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment-related inquiries.
Manage employment related litigation, including responding to attorney demand letters, effectively negotiating resolution of claims, and making recommendations to Human Resources and senior management on corrective action.
Critically supervise and manage outside counsel to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service through developing and monitoring budgets and oversight of outside counsel on employment litigation matters.
Conduct/oversee internal audits to support compliance, such as classification reviews and management of leaves of absence.

Ability to digest state and federal requirements and limitations/opportunities and findings into cohesive and succinct documents.
Ability to communicate effectively with all constituencies.
Must have tenacity and ability to handle significant caseload touching many different areas of law with assigned appearances in proceedings.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Able to use MS office products as well as other office equipment and software products.
